Fluid & Reason, LLC creates software and, in an odd twist of fate, satellites. What kind of software? Lots actually, with a preference for simulations, data mining, and complex algorithms. We bring a lot of technologies to bear on these: Java, C#, C++, PHP, ASP.Net, SQL Server, MySQL, GPUs (with CUDA and OpenCL), grid computing, Hadoop, genetic programming, and anything else needed to get the job done.
The real question is: Why these kinds of software? Simulations, data mining, automation of complex algorithms. When applied to a business situation, all of these bring substantial competitive advantage. Our clients get stronger, growing companies. All their owners and employees get more stable jobs. We aren’t ones to back down from those kind of karma points.
“Satellites”? Yes, that is correct. Software and technology are our tools. We use them to make our client’s dreams come true and ours. A modern satellite project requires a shocking amount of software. Combine a love of software engineering with a love of invention and a satellite with an experimental ion engine can be the only result. Again, we aren’t going to argue with those kind of karma points.
